Aaron Rodgers Touted Healing Powers of Dolphins’ Mating Sounds, and Fans Had Jokes

Aaron Rodgers has always been one to seek out the unorthodox. Whether it be ayahuasca or a darkness retreat, the four-time NFL MVP isn’t afraid to employ outside-the-box methods to whatever situation might be in front of him.

Now facing a daunting recovery from an Achilles tendon tear that he suffered on the fourth play of his first drive with the Jets, Rodgers appears ready to search for creative methods once again. And he may already have found one.

Speaking on Friday’s episode of The Pat McAfee Show, his first public interview since undergoing surgery, Rodgers answered many of the questions that have emerged following his season-ending injury. He sent a firm message to those who doubt he can’t recover at age 39 and return to play at a high level. He also didn’t rule out a return to the field this season if the Jets were to make a playoff run.

Then, things got weird.

Although Rodgers didn’t provide many specifics about his upcoming recovery and rehab, he did tell McAfee he was exploring a plethora of options, both traditional and unconventional. When the conversation turned to the fact that Rodgers was recovering at his Malibu, Calif., home near the ocean, he took the opportunity to float one of the more absurd healing ideas that he’d heard about.

“There’s ideas that some of the noises from the dolphins when they’re love-making, the frequency of that is actually healing to the body,” Rodgers said.

Needless to say, social media did the rest. Here are some of the best reactions to Rodgers’s latest head-scratching suggestion.
